Bad battery purchased 06/20/2024 23 hours of service.

And I have to purchase a $86.00 dollar battery thats only going to have a 90 day warranty I mean really thats not good at all for a agm battery I mean its not a standard leaded battery and I can purchase 2 of the standard batteries so what good is a warranty on the mower and the extended warranty if you cant get anyone to call you back from the dealer and seems the battery should have a better warranty. I had a craftsman yts3000 for 14 years and purchased 2 batteries other than the one that came with it. Cub cadet Xt1 lt46 has not been up to par but I will be checking on getting a refund for that extended warranty $385.00.

Bought a ZT1 zero turn mower. Used less than a year, stored in heated barn over winter, barely starts now and blows smoke like crazy.

Only runs with the choke on and no service center within hours of me.

Based on the other reviews, I was lucky I got to mow the yard at least once before needing to purchase a new machine. Cub Cadet should just cut their losses and close.

I recently purchased a 2025 Cub Cadet 46-inch cut; I had a 2006 Cub Cadet that has served me well for 19 years. If I was not pleased with the former mower, I would have chosen another manufacturer.

My complaint is that an hour meter is not on the unit— for the price of these machines, I would think that you could include one on the unit; now I must buy one for $45 and install it myself.

Many reviews online also express consumer dissatisfaction with the company omitting the hour meter. I will be reluctant to refer friends to purchase a Cub Cadet based upon your decision to omit the hour meter.

Can clear snow faster by hand than with Cub Cadet snow blower

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We've had this 24-inch, 2-stage, 208cc snow blower for a few years now. It had a good rating by Consumer Reports.

From the first day, there were issues. Poor assembly left the chute extremely hard to control. It was difficult to start even when meticulously following directions. It bogged down in medium weight snow - forget about doing plow piles.

What a piece of crap! Can't wait to get rid of it.

The only problem is that we're retired; snow blowers are very expensive. Maybe next year.

Faulty engine on snowblower

My snowblower model is 31AH5DVU710. I believe the engine is faulty and it does not idle normally.

I have troubleshooted this. I have called Cub Cadet and I have rebuilt the thing. The problem is that Cub Cadet claims they built it to only run under a load and that it is not designed to idle and that it will not run on idle. The only time the engine will not turn off is when it is pushing snow.

Basically, the way Cub Cadet tried to cover this up is by making the choke switch turn halfway, and that is supposed to limit the amount of air going into the carburetor so it can idle without turning off.

But unfortunately, the solution does not actually fix the problem and it will not run on idle. The snowblower engine is faulty, and any customer who bought this should be entitled to a whole replacement of the product for a new one that is a different engine that is not faulty.

Poor quality and customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Cub Cadet - Poor quality and customer service

I have had my ZT2 50' for almost 2 years with 260 hours. In that time, it has cost 5 spindles ($125 each), 6 sets of blades ($80 per set), and a hydro pump broke at the cross tie.

The mower has always missed grass when mowing (the Cub dealer says that's normal); the ride is very rough. A headlight fell out after 3 hours of use (the dealer refused to fix it), and the $700 bagger does not stay tight. It has fallen off multiple times and has always required a bungee cord to stay closed.

Customer service does not respond to emails, and the phone number has hung up after over an hour of waiting more than 5 times. Do not buy Cub.

Resolved: Warranty issues

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Jul 13, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They paid for the repairs

Original review Jul 06, 2024
I bought a Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro LT 42 in. 547 cc Engine with IntelliPower Hydrostatic Drive Gas Riding Lawn Tractor Model #LT42 with IntelliPower, SKU # 100891**** on April 12th, 2024.

I had it delivered on April 13th, 2024. I was able to cut my grass two times, and on the third attempt, the mower just stopped running while I was cutting the grass and barely let me park it. It would no longer go into cut mode; it was cutting itself off and would not stay cranked for more than three seconds. Once parked a few feet away on my concrete deck, I noticed that it began to leak oil.

I went to Home Depot, and they said because it was beyond 30 days to call Cub Cadet. I called the number provided and held for 1 hour and 45 minutes, but never spoke to an agent. The recording stated to use the receipt and gave me the number to the nearest repair shop, Woods in Clinton, Mississippi. I had it towed there.

It's been there for a month, and every time I check in they tell me that they haven't been able to reach Cub Cadet. I paid over $2400 for this lawnmower. I'm a single mother. This was a big purchase for me.

I bought this mower to not have to pay anyone to cut my grass. Now, I've bought a lawnmower just two months ago, cut my grass twice, still paying for it, and I'm paying to have my grass cut. I have a large yard so paying the $150 that I've had to pay twice since my mower has been in the shop and I'm getting ready to pay again this week is diabolical. I've called Cub Cadet several times since my mower has been in the shop, waited at least an hour each time, and have only spoken to an agent once.

I was placed on hold and transferred after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes and after waiting another 1 hour and 25 minutes, I never spoke to another person. There's no way that a brand new lawn mower should just fall apart in less than two months and after two uses. I can't afford to waste money. I want a full refund or a brand new lawnmower.

I heard such good things about Cub Cadet, and I was so excited to make this purchase. I just don't want to continue to regret it.

Resolved: Order not shipped

The finance company finally contacted Cub Cadet and removed the charge from the credit line.

Original review May 17, 2024
5/1/24 Ordered a mower through Club Cadet (CC) online and applied for financing through TD Bank. The financing was approved.
5/8/24 Called CC to find out when the tractor would be shipped.

They said the financing cancelled it as I was not approved. Called TD financing and was told it was approved and the issue was with CC.
5/13/24 Called CC and let them know what the financing company said. They said it was on the financing company side and there was nothing they could do. Called TD bank and asked them to contact CC so this could get resolved.

Was told that I was responsible for the payments as they had already paid Club Cadet. Sent an email to CC with all the info.
5/15/24 Called CC and told them that the financing company stated they have already paid CC and that I was responsible for the loan. They again said it was the finance company that did not approve me. Sent CC another email with a number to call TD Bank and clear this up.

No one has responded since.
I have tried to get them to talk to each other in order to clear this up but TD bank will only wait on hold for three minutes and it typically takes at least an hour with CC.

I have provided CC with the phone number for TD Bank to clear this up and they apparently won't call them either. If they would just communicate with each other, this issue would have been cleared up already.

Update: Someone called and left me a message telling me that there was nothing they could do. They could not call the financing company as it was my account.

Then they sent an email stating they called. I sent back a rather cranky email and have not heard back. The financing company told me to have them call their Merchant Services and gave me the number to Merchant Services. I gave this information to Club Cadet and their response is still, we cannot do anything.

So, I ordered a product not sent. They received payment from the finance company for a product that I never received and they respond that they can do nothing about it. How is this even an answer? Why don't they send me what I ordered if they have been paid?

I have sent them the invoice that is sitting in my online account. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I cannot imagine what anyone does when they have an issue with a piece of equipment they purchased. Wait on the phone until someone answers in an hour or two and then be told, hey, there is nothing we can do.

I again purchased another set of blades and now need another set. At $50 a pop Im really struggling to find a decent reason to keep this crap product

I have tried for over a week and a 1/2 to contact Customer Service department via the only phone number I can find, 877-428.2349 and the online "live" chat function. I have called on 4 separate occasions and after being on hold for more than an hour each time, with no answer, I've tried to use the chat feature twice.

I have not had any success in reaching ANYONE after all these attempts.
I place an online order 7/17/24, details below.
I received two shipments but I still have not received the third shipment with the remaining three items (spark plug, fuel filter and oil filter). When I track that last shipment it says,

Worst customer service ever!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Cub Cadet - Worst customer service ever!!!

Ordered a part for my zero turn two months ago! Didn't know it was on back order.

The number they give you to call is not the number you need to cancel orders. I found that out after about two weeks of calling and listening to music for over an hour! Of course, the phone mysteriously hangs up every time after the hour is up! When I finally reach a human, they tell me they can't do anything because of how the order was placed and gave me another number!

A week later of multiple calls and hour long waiting to this new number, I reached a real person. He canceled the order, gave me a confirmation number and lo and behold, a part shows up two weeks after that call and the money was deducted from my account! But my order was supposed to be canceled!? And I can't even reach a real person to find out what the *** is going on!

Unbelievable! I would give them a negative zero if I could!

I bought a zero turn ZTS1 MOWER September 21, 2023. when I got it home the emergency brake lever *** came off in my hand, I started to mow and the emergency brake rod came off and I had to get under and put a pin tin the rod.

I have mowed with mower for less than six month and to add to the problems when I first bought the mower, now the the Solenoid is going bad.

I call Progressive Tractor, 18044 Lee Hwy, Abingdon VA 24210 where I bought my mower and ask them about the Solenoid.

It take me 1 1/2 hours to drive to Abingdon, VA.

I know the mower is under warranty and ask them to send me a solenoid so I could install it my self and said I would have drive a round trip for 3 hours. But they said they ship one for $55.00.

I have other issues with the mower myself so I would not have to make that 3 hour trip.
