Cub Cadet Xt1 Lawn Tractor Review from Plainsboro, New Jersey
I won an XT1 Cub Cadet in a raffle and paid NY state tax upon delivery from ECK in Syracuse NY. ECK is a reasonable business except the Cub Cadet XT 1 I won developed splits on the top of the seat (see picture).I have owned it 7 day less than a year.
I called Cub Cadet customer (not)service and they stated that the seat was not covered under warranty as per written warranty which includes normal wear and tear items like tires. Seats are included except I haven't abused the seat and the warranty in my view is poor regarding the seats. I was offered a 25% discount to replace the seat for in the range of 150$ American. Woopty do!
I won't have any other products made by MTD/ or Cub Cadet again ever! Rick Gillette Syracuse NY.
So MANY issues, but now DEAD!

Cub Cadet is junk
Bought a new cub cadet riding mower (with fabricated deck) and also a couple of push mowers and a trailer from the cub cadet dealer on Stone Drive in Kingsport. We have spend a lot of money there and should be considered "very good customers." We have had nothing but problems with the new "top of the line" mower.
It has taken weeks (yes, weeks!!) to get repairs done. The dealership has no sense of customer service whatsoever. They are more than happy to inform you that they "can only do what cub cadet authorizes." Apparently the warranty is worthless. They even had the nerve to suggest the recurrent problems with our mowing deck was "because we were mowing over rough terrain".
I guess it never occurred to them that this is the same yard I have been mowing for 16 years now and I've never had problems with a mower deck before this Cub cadet. I wouldn't buy an ice cube from them if I was on my way to ***.
Stay away from Cub Cadet and make sure you stay away from this dealership. If this is how they treat their "good customers", I can only imagine how they treat anyone else!!

Cub Cadet BC 210 Brush Cutter
Two years ago I purchased a Cub Cadet Brush Cutter BC210. The first summer it worked but was difficult to start and keep running.
the second summer it broke down the first time out, took it for service the first of May and after to authorized Cub Cadet repair shops looking at the devise and reporting it couldn't be repaired, Cub Cadet finally refunded my money in September.
I thought I would give the Cub Cadet BC210 another chance. Big mistake. On the fourth use it quit working.
Took it in to an authorized Cub Cadet repair shop and explained to the employee it wasn't getting gas. His response was, sounds like the carburetor which Cub Cadet does not warranty. So know I own an almost brand new Cub Cadet brush cutter that does not work.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Cub Cadet products. Bought at Tractor Supply Co.

This is absolutely the worst P.O.S that I've ever owned.I hate this pile of expensive junk.134hours on this *** wagon and I spend more time under it then riding it!!.belts keep coming off replaced 2 batteries. PTOwill not engage at times handles are dryrotted.
My cheap Murray old rider was a far superior machine and a lot less expensive.it lasted more then 20 plus years..your so called muscle machines are TOTALLY OVERRATED!... customer service areof no help at all..ive been ripped off Totally..thanks cubcadet for your bucket of bolts!
Cub Cadet Trimmer Model SS418
I brought a model SS418 about three years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Good money wasted.
The first years ran great second year hard starting, third years would not run at all put it in the shop. New Carbrator. Ran for few times failed to start and ran at all. Put it back in the shop this year, guess what very low compression.
when I brought this trimmer I was under the impression that I had trimmer that would last for years. Guess that was wrong. this unit was built in Mexico. some dealer do not like it at all.
I would not recommend this thing to my worst person that I know.
When you pay for an item that always has had a great name you think that you can't depend on it, this wasn't true. Very up setting.

54" ZTR Cub Cadet 24hp 7000 Kohler engine (RZTL L Series)
3.9 hours use ... (read 3 point 9 hours) mower stalled never to start again. Bought the unit in April 2016 from Tractor Supply and they assured me Cub Cadet Warranty servers were in the area.
Note. If you do not buy Cub Cadet from a dealer, that dealer does NOT have to honor warranty service.
Found a dealer, but put on a 30 day wait list. After describing stall/non start problem the service center told me it was likely carburetor issues AND then went on to inform me that anything related to fuel flow problems was NOT covered under warranty.
One has to love rip off companies that produce wonderful web sites/ads but could care less about providing the customer a functional product.

I, too made the mistake a number of years ago and instead of buying another John Deere, bought a Sears. Nothing but problems and little, to no adequate customer service or repairs.
I finally put a sign on it and parked it out front to sell, which I did rather quickly. I then wandered over to my local JD dealer and bought another JD. I now have three of them in varying sizes. Great machines and the local dealer is fantastic.
I always recommend now to buy from a local dealer instead of one of the big box stores that also sell them. This is how we learn.
